Editing

This video, for Leo Day is my second ever video. It's almost alike like the last one, but this one was actually tougher to make. Way tougher. I faced tonnes of problems making this video. The ending result of the video wasn't even my first concept. But all was well.

Joy had came to me and Sean to make a video on Leo Day since we produced the last and first Leo video. She had a concept where there were videos of other Leos saying "I'm a Leo" and things like that. I liked the idea so I thought of using it as well, but that was the problem. I didn't have enough videos. And I was off to Singapore for 3 days (good weekend though). And I just learned Adobe Premiere so things started pretty tough. I edited some of the videos in Singapore and on the way to Singapore.

The worst part, is when I came back, and my email was still empty. Too late to beg around for videos. I just had to change the concept. Since there was a few video, I edited them all in. I found videos that we shot a few months back and it saved my butt! So the videos here are mostly things that ACTUALLY happen behind the serious stuffs when we have a Leo meeting. It's fun though. The videos are actually funny. I edited 30% a week before and the rest in one day for one whole day. Yes. 12 hours. 6 hours of editing. 4 hours of waiting for videos (didn't get any) and 2 hours of finding a new song (because the videos weren't enough) and re-editing them in place. And took me another whole day just for it to upload (stupid Internet).

Since I found love in film making and directing and editing, I didn't really mind. It was a pleasure to make another video. So, success to my second video! I hope to be making more. Thanks to those who helped me out and also supported me!

Although there isn't much writing or directing, all was candid moments and putting them in one video. I would really love to make videos where there is writing needed, ACTUAL directing, intense editing, audio and all. Though there are a few videos coming up for next year. Shot them already. I'm actually honestly really excited to start editing.

Refreshhhhhhhhhhhh

I used to blog. A lot. Then, I fell in love with YouTube. But mostly Wong Fu Productions and other stuffs like that. Now, I am back. And probably start vlogging one day. >)

ANYWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYS.

As far as I'm gone, this post will be very the panjang.

1. Videos and all moving pictures related.

I've been falling in love with YouTube and Vimeo lately. I just loove the videos. The humorous ones, the touching ones, the inspirational ones. But what I realize in YouTube is that, when you comment on videos, stating whats true or what your opinion is, there will be people out there objecting you and insulting you. If it's not you, then the video. There's minimum appreciation in YouTube. They just want in that way. But in Vimeo on the other hand, though the viral videos aren't as much as YouTube, or you can say, zero viral videos, people don't do that. They accept other peoples opinion, if they don't like what they do, they say it nicely or even help them to be better. Which I think the society in Vimeo are much nicer than in YouTube. But I still love both of them. #opinions #lookwhostalking xD

2. Wong Fu love?

Yes, all this while, I have only been focusing on Wong Fu Productions. What can I say? I love them. Their work, the way they think, the way there came here. It's inspiring to me. But what makes me love them the most is that they do it for love, not for fame. And also one of my idols or role model or however you say it. I too, want a film making career. Not a big one, it's just not my type. Something like Wong Fu. Work becomes fun. Tiring but still fun. As of now, I had made only ONE video. Which I am proud of. And a few more a long the way. This is fun. Things that we only dreamt of in our heads, slowly coming true. Not exactly the same, but about the same. Bringing me closer to what I have always imagine of. The benefits of being a dreamer.

3. Breaking Dawn part 1 Review

I watched the movie on the night of the first day of the release. I honestly say that the trailer seemed really interesting to me. But for what I think, is that the trailer showed almost everything in the movie. I find the movie very slow moving for me. It wasn't that bad but I thought it got better towards the end since most of the actions were there. But I honestly say that I am quite excited to see the part 2. Maybe most of the actions are there? I hope so. Not bad though.

4. Cars

Yes, I like cars. Mostly Volkswagen. And for this, I am only stating one thing, I want to collect the whole series of Volkswagen cars ever made. Every generation, every model. From the first, to the latest. Yes. That is all I want to say. This is my bucket list. Alright.

5. Zombies and Vampires

Anyone realize that lately there are tonnes of movies and TV series about zombies and vampires? What's going on? But whatever it is, my siblings and I are "ready" for zombie apocalypse. Not really the dead coming to life, but more like a disease that make you go cuckoo and rotten. (Doesn't make sense. I know) I need an RV and a Hummer and a storage of weapons for when the day comes. #toomuchmovies. #hashtags #toomuchtwitter

6. Run

I ran out of ideas on blogging. Where are the pictures?! Whatever. Just check out my flickr. xD

I'm not bragging, but I will now admit that I have achieved quite a number of things for the past year. :) I thank God for helping me believe in myself and dare to dream. Dare to dream. :) Alhamdulillah. :)

My (LEO)VE

Recently, as everyone in school knows, Leo Installation just passed. It was the most hectic month I had ever been through but the best. I know it's just a club, but to me, it's much more. I feel accepted and more special when I'm attending general meetings or BOD meetings. The work I volunteer and was given makes me feel like I am needed since most of the time, everyone thinks I can't do anything. I designed the name cards and 2 presentations. And I was the head of photography. Last year, before I even was a Leo member, I was a photographer. It continued on until this year, for the first time ever and much effort and love to it, I am the head photographer. (THANK YOU!) And in conjunction to our 20th anniversary. I made a video movie. A short film. Obviously inspired by Wong Fu Productions.

I've always listed out things that I want to do or HAVE to do. Film producing and directing was one of them. It took 5 weeks from the first ever BOD meetings until the very last day before the installation for me to shoot. It was all candid. I just needed help with camera work. And ofcourse, I was barely in the video. But it's okay. My first draft and the outcome now was a drastic difference. In my first draft, it took about 7 minutes. Just to show our journey. I added boring photos with a boring song. It's a nice song, actually. Unfortunately, I just made it boring. I was Five for Fighting - Superman. After a week deciding a song, and making new drafts. I just HAD to use The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition. After all, that song was the thing that give it, the it. It took me DAYS to find a song similar to that genre and very underdog-ish. Mainstream song will only lead the audience to sing a long and things like that. The editing took me weeks! Every new videos I took, I'll edit them in. And it took me a long time to adjust the beat and feel to it. At the end of the day, I only 2 hours of sleep and work from 7am to 7pm. It felt like victory. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't a fail. Proud of everyone I worked with. :) I don't have much readers on this blog, but I just felt like writing for anyone who bothers to read. Here's my video. :)

I Quest for Love

(Picture from Skinnie Magazine's website)

Seriously in love with the Quest Crew right now. I'm so saving my money for their T-shirt and bag. >) HO YEAH.

I am so tired lately that I take hours of nap. Yes. Okay. I'm already tired typing this. I only have energy to watch the Quest Crew on YouTube. I watch almost ALL the videos related to them. Ryanimay's Assorted Tripe videos are ridiculously hilarious. Love them a lot. I wish I can dance. :/ S'okay. I will one day. Watch me. >) I can do anything. >) Well, trying still counts. xD
